How to reach Fontilles

 

Description

The fourth edition of the seminar on health and development cooperation, will address, on this occasion the theme: "The development cooperation in the prevention of nature emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases". It aims to analyse, from the reflection and interdisciplinary debate, the root causes that underlie health emergencies of epidemic character and the role that it can play in their prevention and approach to development cooperation.

At the seminar, in addition to resorting to history to provide elements of reflection to help understand the current epidemic crisis, will analyze the mechanisms of production and dissemination of epidemic nature emerging diseases, the reemergence of infectious diseases which were controlled, but which have become to acquire a character prevalent, and measures that articulate local and globally to address these health challenges and the role it can and should play the Governments and national and international health institutions, as well as non-governmental organizations, through cooperation in health and development.

  Addressed

The seminar is aimed at University students, teachers of grade and graduate and professionals of the health sciences or science social stakeholders; but you can also register any person interested in the subject of international cooperation, development and health.

 Academic and professional recognition

1.5 credit of curricular free-elective for students in degree and qualifications to extinguish the University of Alicante. The other participants will receive a certificate of attendance issued by the AU.

Accommodation

For participants wishing to stay overnight in the sanatorium of Fontilles the nights of the 23rd or 24th April, a limited number of rooms are available (single 18, 13 doubles and a triple) that would be assigned by rigorous order of reservation (e-mail:marisa@fontilles.org). The price of the rooms is 40 euro per day (including breakfast and dinner). Cost of food from Friday April 24 for all participants: 10 € (to pay at reception the same day).
